Fashion refers to any mode of dressing that is popular during a particular time or in a particular place. Fashion is a style or a practice particularly in clothing, footwear, accessories, in makeup or even in body art (e.g pirecing, tattoo). Fashion changes from one period to another. It changes from one generation to another generation. Every person regardless of what gender follows fashion trends.

Among the two genders, the ladies are the most fashionable ones. Sometimes, ladies copy the fashion styles and the fashion looks from high profile people and actresses. Women especially the younger generation tend to look like their KPOP idols from Korea. The animal print fashion style of the Kardashian’s has also become a popular fashion trend by women these days. The media has made a great contribution on spreading fashion throughout the whole world. Now, fashion isn’t just spread in one country but is also spread throughout the world.

This 2012 has become a wild year for fashion. Fashion trends change so fast you wouldn’t even notice. Here’s a flash back on the fashion trends:

Bottoms

It started with skinny jeans. Then came different styles like the high-waisted trousers. The high-waisted trousers were famous in the 80s. I think this year, fashion is trying to revive the classics. Rompers are also in-trend this year. It gives you that stylish and comfy feel. Sportif pants are also in this year especially the acid washed sportif jeans. Slouchy shorts are also in. They are usually high-waisted but the part where you place the belt is usually at the lower waist part.

For the prints, the most famous one is the floral-printed bottoms and the animal-printed jeans. It varies from small to large prints. Bleached bottoms are also in this year. For that cowgirl feel, embellished jeans are perfect. Another style that’s in is the patch or tattered jeans and the metallic jeans.

For the skirt, the hip-hugging skirts are famous this days. Regardless of whether it’s an a-line cut or a pencil cut. Asymmetric skirts are also in trend this year. Usually you will see that the front side is short and the back part of the skirt is long.

Tops

Just like the bottoms, asymmetric-styled tops are everywhere. I think the reason why most ladies love this style is because it can blends well with different body sizes, whether they are fat or slim. It also blends well with any height, whether that lady is short or tall.

Brands like Nike, Adidas and Clark shoes were sported with leather bomber jackets and brightly-colored track suits. Sports jerseys were a hot commodity, with Will Smith showing them off in his hit television show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire.
